Together, we can cultivate a brighter, more sustainable future
At our family farm in San Juan Bautista, we are dedicated to bringing the best to our customers by cultivating over 40 varieties of vegetables year-round. We utilize the same farming practices that have been passed down through generations, taking great pride in our efforts to enhance soil health.
We believe that the foundation of high-quality ingredients lies in the way they are grown. Additionally, we are committed to connecting with our community and educating our youth about food justice in collaboration with local organizations such as Urban Arts Collaborative.
Our farm is proudly led by a female Latina, who embodies our values and vision for sustainable agriculture and community engagement.

Certified Organic and Naturally Grown
Our ability to grow food depends on how we care and steward the land. We have a responsibility to ourselves and to every living being to find methods of producing food that minimize damage to the farming ecosystem.
Green Thumb Farms has been doing the same practices since we first started in 2015. Our goal is to learn and create better as we move forward with our farming. We embrace diversity and rotate our crops year-round. We grow perennial plants and enrich our soil. The only thing we spray on our farm is LOVE!

Community Well
Community Well is dedicated to fostering well-being through accessible, inclusive, and culturally responsive holistic health services. Grounded in mental health support, Indigenous wisdom, and integrative healing practices, individuals and families are supported to reclaim their power to heal, grow, and thrive.
In 2022, Green Thumb Farms partnered with Community Well to offer Produce for the People. Together we introduced a groundbreaking model of food distribution that empowered participants to handpick their own produce. This innovative approach not only allowed the community to connect with the beauty of seasonal produce but also gave valuable knowledge about the healing properties of different foods.
We connected with 152+ families, distributing over 1,000 bags with fresh organic produce.

Urban Arts Collaborative
Every year, UAC allocates funding to support an essential ingredient of a healthy and thriving community life. Our food justice program participants have the opportunity to address food justice issues in our community collectively. As a result of this value, Urban Arts Collaborative has partnered with Green Thumb Farms since 2015 to secure clean food to distribute to UAC youth and families throughout the year.
UAC's Food justice and wellness programs are free of charge to all UAC participants, impacting over 1,000 youth and adults every year. We prioritize teens struggling with low family income, academic challenges, trauma, foster care, and underserved youth and adults throughout Salinas (Chinatown District ) and South Monterey County. Participants can participate in captivating food justice educational workshops focusing on nature, ecological art, farm visits, land stewardship, sustainable farming, and a plant-based diet.
